In the manga and anime, Tiger Mask (whose real name was Naoto Date) was a feared heel wrestler in America who was extremely vicious in the ring. However, he became a face after returning to Japan when a young boy said that he wanted to be a villain like Tiger Mask when he grew up. The boy resided in an orphanage, the same one that Tiger Mask grew up in during his childhood. Feeling that he did not want the boy to idolize a villain, Tiger was inspired to be a heroic wrestler.
The main antagonists in the manga and anime was Tiger's Cave, a mysterious organization that trained young people to be villainous heel wrestlers on the condition that they gave half of their earnings to the organization. Tiger Mask was once a member of Tiger's Cave but no longer wanted anything to do with them, instead donating his money to the orphanage. This infuriated the leader of the organization and he sent numerous assassins, including other professional wrestlers, to punish him.
Most of the environment and characters were fictitious, but real-life pro wrestlers Antonio Inoki and Giant Baba were included in the manga and anime as well.

In the ping pong club he meets someone named Kawazue who is the ace, and he tells Hiromu he can’t join the club, because he probably failed every other club and is underestimating the ping pong club. A friend of Hiromu called Otome who wants Hiromu to get into a club merges in the middle of the conversation and has a match against Kawazue for Hiromu joining the club, but she loses. After that, and a lot of begging, Hiromu plays against Kawazue. If he loses, Otome becomes the ping pong club manager. He almost loses, but than he remembers he always gives up and it’s time to stop giving up. Then he shows wits when Kawazue was about to go, Kawazue got back to the game, just to fall for a smash counter Hiromu who never before played ping pong set up for him, and so he got a point… And entered the ping pong club. The story follows Baku Ryosuke, also known as Bakudan, a fresh-out-of-juvy punk and a dangerous street-fighter who is scouted by a yakuza syndicate and dreams of becoming the greatest yakuza in Japan. However, to teach Bakudan a lesson, the yakuza send him to the gym of a retired heavyweight boxer named Ken Tamaki to get him to sign away his property. But after fighting Bakudan for the property, Tamaki becomes impressed by Bakudans fighting skills, and from then on devotes himself to helping Bakudan follow his true destiny to become the first heavyweight world champion boxer from Japan!
Similar to Bamboo Blade, the new series will be a "hyper comedy of bishojo x Japanese swords!!" The story will center around a high school girl named Haru Okamoto. However, whereas Bamboo Blade depicted the tournament sport of kendo with bamboo swords, Haru Polish will deal with the practice of iai (the drawing and wielding of actual swords).
