monkgrumpy She lied about not wanting to be married to the ML so they feel sympathy for her because they don't like him/his family. But by accident she hit the nail on the head with her story which is a "forced marriage" and now it looks like the reason they hate his familly isn't because his mother died in an accident but because she was forced to marry the previous duke. If it's true or not idk. Wouldn't surprise me if her husband was mad that she didn't pick him and went for a duke instead so he spread lies to her family xD
